I am offering on this auction this Seeburg Wireless Wall-O-Matic Coin Operated Music System.
This Music System is Seeburg Model L56 and was manufactured between 1946 and 1948.
These models were customarily placed on tables in diners and cafes in the 1940's.
Units like this are now very hard to find.
This Music System was designed to control a Symphanola "Trashcan" jukebox remotely and was coin operated.
It has room for 20 selections. These were usually typed on strips of paper and apparently stuck onto the inside of the glass.
It is made of metal with plastic numbered buttons.
Its dimensions are 29 cm x 22.5 cm x 11 cm.
Cosmetically this item is Good showing signs of use and storage.
It looks as if it was originally red in colour.
The chromed name plate down the front is corroded.
None of the eight globes are present inside to light up the selections.
The glass windows are Very Good with a little paint around the edges.
The front instruction plate is slightly pitted.
There is no key.
This item has not been tested and is sold as is.
This would make a great restoration project.
I am busy thinning my collections down, so I have listed various other auctions which may be of interest.
