Seen, Heard and Valued: WAM celebrates 40 Years of the Standard Bank African Art Collection is a 404-page lavishly illustrated full-colour publication that accompanied the exhibition at Wits Art Museum in 2021-2022. The exhibition and publication marked the important milestone of 40 years of the partnership between Wits University and Standard Bank. Many people have engaged in diverse ways with the collection over the years, as reflected in the broad range of contributors. The volume opens with forewords by Professor Zeblon Vilakazi and Thulani Sibeko. The body of the publication includes 42 essays and 3 appendices.
