Lord Matic was the mid to high range of automatic watches introduced by Seiko in 1968 and based on the freshly developed 56xx movement. As you might probably know, there was actually two ranges of LM, the one produced by the Suwa factory, based on the 56xx movement and the LM Special introduced a couple of years later by the Daini factory and based on the 52xx movement.
It is commonly admitted that the first LMs were introduced in 1968 by Suwa and mostly replaced the Seikomatic range. However, it seems that some models were released as early as December 1967 (ref.). Until the early 70s, most models had a rather classical design, the cases were often monobloc ones, meaning you couldnt access the calibre by the back.
As you can see in the pics the watch has been serviced recently and is in mint condition.
The quick date settings works 100% and timing is perfect. To ME this is an Omega. That secondhand just speaks to one.
The movement can only be accessed from removing the crystal.
There is an original LM bracelet but with extensions as I have a huge wrist. I will however add a nato strap
Postnet to Postnet on a Saturday after payment.
Your parcel will be securely packed and be shipped. I bear the extra R99 shipping cost of course. i like the watches to be handled as less as possible.
This is gem guys and u will see once u wear it what I mean.
