This is a transistorised, electronic watch made by SEIKO The watch is not working and probably just need a battery.  It dates to 1971 /1972.  The front of the case is gold plated and the back is stainless steel;. Engraved "1947 - 1972  R.J. Strickland Plascon - Evans" 

This watch was part of SEOKO's short lived range of electronic watches. They were expensive.
