Vanessa Bell (1879-61) was a central figure in the Bloomsbury group. She was the sister of Virginia Woolf and wife of Clive Bell, and lived at Charleston Farmhouse in Sussex with her husband and the artist Duncan Grant. This book features over 600 of Bells letters spanning more than 70 years, addressed to recipients including Virginia Woolf, Clive Bell, Duncan Grant, Roger Fry and Maynard Keynes. The letters have been arranged chronologically and into sections, each of these introduced with biographical context.
