How much time does self-hypnosis require?

Most self-hypnosis programs require 20 to 30 minutes per day, usually at bedtime, or just after awakening, for 21 days. After 21 days, you may reduce the frequency of use to once per week.

Tips for Self-Hypnosis

1.    Choose a quiet place away from distractions and make sure you won’t be disturbed for the full duration of your session. Hypnotherapy sessions shouldn’t be paused like movies; doing so can break the focused “trance” state and make it hard to reenter it.
2.    Relax your body by sitting or lying in a comfortable position. Many people choose to listen to their hypnosis sessions right before they go to sleep because it is so relaxing.
3.    Close your eyes and focus on the voice of the hypnotherapist. Try not to over think what's happening. Just relax and enjoy the experience. When distracting thoughts do appear, don’t try to push those thoughts out, but instead remind yourself to focus on the voice of the hypnotherapist.
4.    Be consistent. Listen to the Mp3 every day. Self-hypnosis, like meditation, gets easier with time.
