Selk'bag Classic Sleep Wear System - Adult. - The Selk’bag Sleepwear System was originally developed in 2006 by Rodrigo Alonso of Musuchouse in Santiago, Chile. Rodrigo Alonso, working with Lippi Outdoor, decided to commercialise the Selk’bag later that year after winning regional praise and recognition. Lippi Outdoor being a 30-year-old technical mountain gear company from Santiago.
The Selk’bag made its debut in Europe in February 2007 at the ISPO sporting goods show in Munich, Germany. There it became a Brand New Award Finalist, a prestigious honour for new outdoor products in the European market.
The sleeping suit immediately became a sensation in the outdoor world when the Selk’bag made its debut in the U.S. market in August 2008. It has appeared in the New York Times, LA Times, Chicago Tribune, USA Today, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, ABC's ‘The Bachelor’ and many other television shows and publications. The Selk’bag has received a wonderful reception for its performance, practical functionality and innovative design. Chile Diseno named the Selk’bag sleep suit “Consumer Product of the Year” later that year.
