The throat is a fragile part of the body. The OBO throat protector wraps around the throat so that the throat is always protected. We looked at using a throat guard that hangs from the helmet grill but found that they were often not in the correct position - especially when the goalie is lying on the ground. A polyester outer, soft open cell foam inner, with a strip of high density polyethylene plastic protecting the Adam's apple. Comfortable and protective - naturally - it's OBO!
