More info on the style of these knives (from ebay):
Coronation (also known as Hampton Court in the UK and Australia) Community Plate by Oneida, Ltd. was first introduced in 1936 in honor of the Coronation of Edward VIII who ascended the throne in January1936. However, he abdicated the throne in December 1936 when he chose to marry Wallis Simpson, an American socialite and twice divorced woman, in lieu of remaining king. This could be the reason this aristocratic and enchanting vintage (semi-antique) silverware pattern is known as Hampton Court in the UK and Australia.
The history associated with the design and exquisite detail and craftsmanship, worthy of honoring a man who chose the love of a woman over his birthright as king, is quite rare for most silverware collections. Coronation (Hampton Court) silverplate pattern's refined aristocratic style can enhance even the most modest dining experience. It is elegant enough for formal entertaining, ageless in its appeal and appropriate for both modern and heirloom table settings.
