Set of 5 Prints of Historical Photographs of Cape Town

A set consisting of five prints made from historical photographs dating from the late 19th and early 20th century of buildings in and around Cape Town. The originals of these photographs are in the Cape Archives. They measure about 41 x 33cm each. 

The five prints are sold together as one set. They are in reasonable condition with a number in pencil written in the bottom margin of each, minor creasing and foxing on some edges and cellotape residue on the back of the prints. The photographs depict the following places/buildings (with the date on which the photograph was taken in brackets): 

1. St Georges Street and Cathedral (c. 1910)
2. Pentz Street, Schotsche Kloof (c. 1890)
3. Lutheran Church, Strand Street (c. 1880)
4. The Pavilion Picture Palace near Newry Street, Claremont (1917)
5. Somerset Road (c. 1895)
