Set of 8 Tim Morris Studio Pottery Cups

A beautiful set of eight handmade stoneware cups by South African ceramic artist Tim Morris.

Each small cup is individually thrown, with a warm speckled glaze and loosely painted blue-grey botanical decoration, finished with an earthy brown band around the rim. The exposed stoneware foot and subtle differences between the individual pieces retain all the character of handmade studio pottery.

Two pieces carry Tim Morris's impressed potter's mark to the base.

The small proportions make these particularly appealing as sake or tea cups, tasting cups, dipping bowls or small serving vessels. Displayed together, they also make a wonderfully tactile little collection of South African studio ceramics.
