Lovely Set of Ceder 4 Nesting Bowls.
The set is made from a branch of Cedarwood and features some pattern made by termites on the outer bowl. This made me smile, as I remember my father making a beautiful bed for my mother using termite poles like this. Use as Décor or fill with nuts for an interesting table setting.
These are vintage handcrafted wooden trinket boxes or jewellery boxes, often made from Eastern Red Cedar. They are uniquely shaped, rustic folk-art pieces. Often made from natural forms like burls or branches, emphasizing the wood's character. Similar items are sometimes attributed to specific craftspeople like John Wilkerson.
They could also be made by the Florida artist Jeff Trag (sometimes referred to as Jefferson Trag), the items appear to be hand-carved cedar wood pieces, consistent with the style of Jeff Trag's work, which often includes puzzle or jewellery boxes with a natural, organic aesthetic.
Origin Unconfirmed, Circa 1980s.
Visible Flaws: Minor age-related wear. Two of the bowls are cracked, but when using for décor or to serve nuts, this would have no impact.
