The SETSOLAR 0-30A (Auto Sense) regulator protects batteries from over charging
and draining.
The regulator is equipped with a switch which connects the solar panels to the battery
when not fully charged. The regulator also has a switch on board which can
disconnect a load preventing the battery from discharging any further.
The regulator automatically selects which battery bank is connected. It does this every
time it is connected. Possible battery banks: 12 / 24 / 36V
Note: the regulator only performs the selection at start-up.
This means it is possible to re-use a regulator, which was used in a 12V system into a
24/36V system.
Switch moment voltages:
Battery: 12V system
Panel gets disconnected at: 14.8V
Panel gets connected again at: 13.8V
Load gets disconnected at: 11.8V
Load gets connected again at: 13.2V
Note: for the other battery bank voltages 24/36 multiply the above voltages by
resp. 2,3,4.
Switch delay:
To prevent damage to the switches in case weak batteries are connected to the
regulator, a switch delay is activated after a switch has changed position. This
prevents the switch for about 20 seconds to change position again.
LED indication:
A coloured LED indicates the status of the regulator:
1) RED flashing fast: The battery voltage is low. The load is disconnected.
2) Orange flashing slow: Both the load and the panel is connected to the battery.
3) Green flashing fast: The battery is full. The panel is disconnected from the battery.
Note on 36V systems:
For the auto selection of the battery bank to work properly make sure that when
connecting the regulator to a 36V system the bank voltage is above
