Twenty years after game farmer Kobus le Grange left the farm where his wife Jenny died after being attacked by a lion, his son Rupert returns with old Tientong, the family´s longtime employee. Rupert hopes to restore the derelict farm to its former glory, but history looks set to repeat itself.

Like his father before him, Rupert runs into trouble with the neighbours, and falls for one of their feisty daughters, Ankia. To complicate matters, Rupert has a rival whose jealousy knows no bounds. Meanwhile, Tientong wrestles with a guilty secret: he was with Jenny the day she was killed, and could have prevented her death. What will young Rupert do if he ever finds out? The film is the sequel to the earlier movie Die Wildtemmer, which was based on a popular Springbok Radio serial. One of the actors, Pieter Hauptfleisch, committed suicide at 49 the year the film was released."
