Tallahassee Milford, a young archaeologist, is called to identify a mysterious ancient ivory box which gives off a strange form of radiation.    When the box is opened that night in the museum the full force of what it contains is unleashed and strikes Tally, thrusting her through a time barrier into the ancient Nubian kingdom of Meroe. 

A Victor Gollanz 1977 hardcover with dustcover, in Fine to Very Fine condition.  There is some discolouration on the page edges but inside the book is like new.  The dust cover is has no abrasions of tears, just a thin strip down the spine which is slightly faded.
