I have almost all the Ian Allan 'At War' series and was lucky to come across this book about the Shackleton whilst browsing. It is a very worthy addition to the series and gives a comprehensive view of the development and in service history of this venerable aircraft.Excellent chapters cover service with the RAF, and South African Air force. I particularly liked the chapters dealing with it's service with 8 Squadron. This is an excellent book about an iconic and much loved successor to the Lancaster and Lincoln.
