The Shelly BLU Button Tough 1 ZB is a compact Bluetooth and Zigbee smart button designed to trigger connected devices, scenes and automations with a physical press. Its durable, shock-resistant IP54 enclosure makes it suitable for portable use and appropriately positioned indoor or outdoor installations.
Four Actions from One Button
Single, double and triple clicks, together with a long press, can be assigned to four separate actions. Depending on the connected smart-home system, these actions can control lighting, activate scenes, adjust compatible blinds or operate devices such as a connected garage-door controller.
Bluetooth and Zigbee Connectivity
Dual-protocol operation provides a choice between Bluetooth Low Energy and Zigbee 802.15.4. This allows the button to work with supported Shelly gateways or suitable Zigbee ecosystems, although compatibility and available actions depend on the gateway, coordinator and software platform being used.
Fast Physical Control
A manufacturer-stated response time of less than one second provides quick tactile control without first opening an application. The button can be carried in a pocket or positioned where convenient for frequently used scenes and connected devices.
IP54 Protection
The plastic enclosure is designed to resist shocks, dust and water splashes. Its IP54 rating makes it suitable for protected outdoor locations and demanding indoor environments, but the button should not be submerged or exposed to high-pressure water.
Beacon and Find My Device Functions
Bluetooth Beacon mode can support location-based automations through a compatible Shelly gateway and script. An integrated buzzer also supports the Find My Device function when Beacon mode is enabled and the button is within radio range.
Replaceable Battery
The included CR2032 battery provides up to two years of operation under typical usage conditions. The battery can be replaced by carefully opening the rear cover and installing a new compatible 3V CR2032 cell.
Gateway Requirements
A gateway is required when using the button through the Shelly Smart Control app. Compatible options include the Shelly BLU Gateway or supported Shelly Plus, Pro, Gen3 and Gen4 devices acting as Bluetooth gateways, excluding sensor-only devices. Zigbee operation requires a compatible Zigbee coordinator or gateway.
