The Shelly BLU Button Tough 1 ZB is a compact Bluetooth and Zigbee smart button that provides physical control over compatible devices, scenes and automations. Its shock-resistant IP54 enclosure and warm Mocha finish make it a practical option for portable use or appropriately positioned indoor and outdoor installations.
Four Actions from One Button
The button recognises single, double and triple clicks, as well as a long press. Each interaction can be assigned to a separate function, allowing one compact controller to trigger up to four actions or smart-home scenes.
Control Devices and Scenes
Depending on the connected Shelly system or Zigbee platform, the button can be configured to control lighting, activate predefined scenes, adjust compatible blinds or operate connected appliances and garage-door controllers.
Bluetooth and Zigbee Operation
Dual-protocol connectivity allows the device to communicate using Bluetooth Low Energy or Zigbee 802.15.4. This provides flexible integration with compatible Shelly gateways and supported Zigbee ecosystems, although available functions depend on the gateway, coordinator and smart-home software being used.
Quick Tactile Response
A manufacturer-stated response time of less than one second provides convenient control without needing to open a mobile application first. Its compact 42mm square design can be carried in a pocket or positioned near frequently controlled devices.
Durable IP54 Enclosure
The plastic enclosure is designed to resist shocks, dust and water splashes. Its IP54 rating makes it suitable for protected outdoor positions and demanding indoor spaces, but it should not be submerged or exposed to high-pressure water.
Beacon and Find My Device
Beacon mode can support location-based automations through a compatible Shelly gateway and script. An integrated buzzer allows the button to produce confirmation sounds and supports the Find My Device function when Beacon mode is enabled and the unit is within radio range.
Replaceable CR2032 Battery
The button is powered by an included 3V CR2032 battery, providing up to two years of operation under typical usage conditions. The battery can be replaced by carefully opening the rear cover and fitting a new compatible cell.
Gateway Requirements
A gateway is required to use the button through the Shelly Smart Control app. Compatible options include the Shelly BLU Gateway or supported Shelly Plus, Pro, Gen3 and Gen4 devices acting as gateways, excluding sensor-only devices. Zigbee operation requires a suitable Zigbee coordinator or gateway.
