SHOCKINGLY STUNNING VINTAGE BULOVA- AVIATOR

 
Shockingly stunning 1946 gents Bulova watch known as The Aviator.
 
Here we have a vintage gents Bulova watch dating back to 1946 according to its stamp code. Which is quite incredible when you take a look at the condition.
 
 
The case has a classic "Bulova" look and one that really catches the eye. It has  wonderful tonneau shaped sides which are curved and sweep in and out towards the ends creating the lugs. The top of the bezel is raised in a barrel design with smooth rounded sides and bevelled ends. This section is almost mirror shiny! The case has a 14k rose rolled gold filled bezel and a stainless back. As you can see it is in very good condition for a watch this age. The back is fully signed by Bulova in and out as well as the dial and movement. The case measures 28mm x 38mm including crown and lugs.
 
 
The Bulova dial which looks like it has been professionally restored is a stunning pink rose tone with black arabic numbers at each hour position. It has a deep set sub second dial at the 6 position with its own numbers in an exploding design and other black detailing.  In certain light the watch looks orange as my images show. The crystal is in excellent condition.
 
 
The watch is running on the original Bulova 10bc 15j manual wind movement which is keeping good time.
I must also add that I do not know when last it was serviced. This is a true vintage watch lovers dream as watches like this are very rarely seen and make exceptional gifts for any occasion or just to spoil somebody close to you, they will always gain in value and if respected and cherished will last for a long time to come. In its time very much a gents watch but by to days standards very suitable for women also.
