Richard Mudariki, hailing from Zimbabwe, embarked on his artistic journey under the mentorship of esteemed painters Helen Lieros and Greg Shaw at Gallery Delta in Harare. Relocating to South Africa, Mudariki now calls Cape Town his home. He has held solo exhibitions and has been featured in curated exhibitions across prestigious venues in Johannesburg, Cape Town, London, Paris, and New York ... In 2019, Barnard published "Ndini Here (Is this me?)," a limited edition hardcover book showcasing Mudariki's work, launched in New York during his debut solo show in North America at the 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair in Manhattan. His work captured the interest of MOMA curators and was acquired by the West Collection in Philadelphia. Future projects include his participation in EXPO Chicago and his inaugural solo exhibition in Paris with Galerie Polaris. Mudariki's work is represented in prestigious collections such as the IZIKO South African National Gallery, SANLAM, Zeitz MOCAA, the Leridon Collection in Paris, and the West Collection in Philadelphia, USA, underscoring his significant impact on the contemporary art scene.
