Robert Archibald was born 12 December 1812 on Prince Edward Island. His parents were Thomas Archibald (1775-1841) and Margaret. He married Helen Paterson (1812-1890) 11 March 1834 in Glasgow, Scotland. They had nine children. They emigrated in 1841 and settled in South Africa. Robert died in 1850 in Kruisfontein. Includes Dyke, Hancock, Street, Wheatland and related families.
