Hardcover first edition 1999 published by the Geological Society of South Africa. The jacket is whole, with minor wear to edges, and a short series of small holes along a fold. The brown cloth boards with stamped titling and fossil skull decoration to the front are square and sharp. Apart from some light scattered foxing to external page edges, the pages are clean and unmarked. With an original photograph of a group of people including the author and Professor Phillip Tobias at the launch of the book.
