Very poor condition first edition published 1900 by John Murray. Worn and frayed edges, extinct worm holes, detached pages, though complete with all plates and folding map. This book was sent from England to Colonel J.H. Bowker, the soldier and naturalist, by the author, and contains his signed dedication dated March 29, 1900. It also contains two pages of a hand-written note to Colonel Bowker, from the author, written on the front endpapers. These pages are detached.
