Lisa Brice is one of the leaders of a new generation of young artists in South Africa, the post-apartheid kids. Her work reflects life through the lens of her own experiences, both in her own country and abroad. In 1992 German gallerists Ellen and Frank Hänel saw her first post-art school exhibition Sex Show Works and in 1993 gave Brice her first one-person show at their Frankfurt gallery. Since then Brice has won a strong following in Germany, and show regularly at art fairs and galleries across Europe and elsewhere in the world.
