A quiet bend of the Danube, watched over by a castle and one splendid old tree.
An atmospheric colour etching by Austrian printmaker Luigi Kasimir, depicting Persenbeug Castle overlooking the Danube River. The finely worked landscape combines detailed etched lines with beautifully muted olive green, ochre, grey and soft brown tones.
The work is pencil-signed Luigi Kasimir beneath the image and retains an old Galerie Otto label on the reverse, listing Vienna, Bad Gastein, Munich and London.

The signature appears consistent with examples of Kasimirs original lifetime signature; however, the work has not been professionally authenticated or removed from the frame for examination.
Condition: Pre-owned vintage condition. The print has a softly muted, age-toned appearance with scattered small marks and specks visible beneath the glass. The mount shows light discolouration and age-related marking. The wooden gilt-toned frame has rubbing, scuffs and general wear. The reverse backing is dusty and marked, with old securing nails, pads and hanging hardware present. The print has not been examined out of its frame. Please inspect all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
