Dzunisani was born on 26 September 1986 in Giyani, Gawula Village in Limpopo. He is the first artist in his family. Before coming to APS he worked as a security guard. His art teacher from high school, Moses Mthombheni, suggested that he go to APS to study professionally. He completed his studies and worked as a community facilitator through the Artists in Arks project (an outreach project of APS) and later as gallery assistant. He was awarded a fellowship at the end of his third year for a residency programme at the Willlam Humphrey Art Gallery (WHAG) in Kimberley where he was mentored by the late artist, Dumisani Mabaso. He has since featured at several art fairs and group exhibitions and is currently working as an independent artist. This print is done in linocut, a relief carving printing technique.
