Original brown cloth, with black titling and image of a bare footprint on the spine. Internally immaculate. Signed dedication to the previous owner by the author on the half-title page. Accompanying the book is a letter from Raymond Cowles, to author and former The Star newspaper columnist James Clarke, on a University of California, Santa Barbara, letterhead, dated May 29, 1975.
