Silent Hillf is a bold new chapter in Konami's iconic survivalhorror franchise and the first mainline entry in over a decade. Developed by NeoBards Entertainment and written by acclaimed visual novel author Ryukishi07 (Higurashi, Umineko), it blends the series' trademark psychological horror with a haunting 1960s rural Japan setting.

You play as Shimizu Hinako, a highschool student whose hometown of Ebisugaoka is suddenly consumed by a thick, unnatural fog. As the familiar streets twist into grotesque nightmares, you must navigate shifting environments, solve intricate puzzles, and confront disturbing creatures rooted in Japanese folklore.

The game features multiple endings, a nonlinear narrative, and a playtime of around 1213 hours per run. Combat mixes classic survivalhorror tension with "surprisingly exhilarating" counterattack mechanics, while exploration rewards careful observation and resource management.
