Remove silica gel sachets from plastic bag before use.
Silica gel sachets can only absorb a limited amount of moisture before they become saturated. To check the state of your silica gel, use one of our indicator cards or place the silica under a transparent glass bowl, on a plate. Microwave for one minute on high. If any moisture is visible on the inside of the bowl after microwaving, you need to rejuvenate your silica gel.
To rejuvenate, place the silica gel sachets on a plate in an oven at a temperature of 120 degrees centigrade for an hour. Allow to cool to room temperature, then place in an airtight container.
