The Austrian Silver Philharmonic coin pays tribute to the Austrian Philharmonic, an orchestra founded in 1842 and considered to be one of the finest orchestras in the entire world.

The silver coin features amazing attention to detail in its design. Featured on the coins reverse are various musical instruments featured in the orchestra such as the harp, violin and bass. The obverse also features the inscription WIENER PHILHARMONIKER.

The coins obverse features the Musikverein, the great organ of the golden hall along with the coins mint year, weight and face value.

Gold Philharmonics were very successful over the years which led to the introduction of Silver Philharmonics in 2008. Philharmonics are some of the most popular and widely purchased bullion coins in Europe, and the Silver Philharmonic is the first silver bullion coin to be denominated in Euros.

These coins are highly liquid and make a great addition to any coin collection or precious metals portfolio. They also make an excellent gift.
