A Dorcas silver thimble by Charles Horner. Dorcas thimbles have a super-fine steel core for strength, but because it is so thin, these thimbles are regarded as silver rather than plated. Charles Horner created many different designs on Dorcas thimbles and they are highly sought after.
It is in excellent condition with no damage, and stands 20mm high.
