Silver-plate and wood tobacco jar with a porcelain insert.

This most attractive wood container with silver-plated bands around it has a lid and handle as well.  It has a white porcelain insert and was sold to me as a tobacco jar,  it could however to my mind, also be used as an ice bucket.  On the front is an unengraved shield. This item stands 18cm's high and it is about 14cm's accross.  The porcelain inside has a slight stain and the silver bands do have a few tiny screws missing. It is otherwise in excellent condition and is a most unusual and attractive item.
