Silver-plated serving dish with lid or two serving dishes.

This silver-plated serving dish has been interestingly designed in that it can be used as a serving dish with a lid (each piece have their own handles although the bottom one on the photo does not show this), or it can be used as two separate serving dishes in which case there is no lid.  The items are solid and heavy and in very good condition (apart from a few very minor signs of ware on the inside of one of the dishes).  Both items have been engraved "Schweizerhof Sea Point". It must have been a very classy hotel in it's day to be using these sort of items, but it certainly has not existed for many years.  The dish measures 28 cm's across by 18.5cm's and it stands about 8.5cm's high.  A truly lovely and practical item for the dining table !
