Proof Sterling Silver 1992 Nursing R1 coin

 

     

This is a beautiful and rare coin celebrating one hundred years

of nursing from 1891 to 1991. Only 8675 were minted.

As you can see, the other side of the coin depicts South Africa's

national flower, the Protea.

    

(Please note I've included both scans and photographs of the coin because the scans show the exquisite detail whereas the photographs capture the lustre of the coin).  

 This coin is encapsulated and it comes in an SA Mint box. It has a 32.7mm diameter and weighs 15 grams.
