DAINTY OPENWORK HEART PENDANT ON CHAIN. ALL 9CT YELLOW GOLD. ROMANTIC AND PRETTY!

There is something rather special about a simple piece of vintage gold jewellery. This funky little pendant is a contemporary take on a heart design - almost cartoon-like, it is fresh and whimsical! 8mm from top to tip and 9mm across, the openwork heart is simply threaded onto a 41 cm 9ct yellow gold chain, simple and elegant. The solid pendant bears the '9K' hallmark indicating 9ct gold, and the chain bears quite a line-up of hallmarks including 375 for 9ct gold, the British Royal crown, the jeweller's signature, the London assay mark and the date mark for 2004. The chain is fairly fine but not "blow-away". The heart is small but has a good weight to it. The whole necklace weighs 2,8 grams and hangs really well as a result of the fairly weighty heart. It is the kind of necklace you want to put around your neck and wear every day. It has an air of deliberate casualness about it.
