Sir Halmanac had the reputation of being the best knight in the world, so it was natural for the princess of Afromasia to come to him for help when the Crimson Star of Afromasia was stolen by the Wizard of the North and the country placed in the gravest danger.  She was disappointed when she found that Sir Halmanac was middle-aged, rather too large to fit comfortably into his armour, and very ready to avoid fighting when it wasn't absolutely necessary.  But by the end of the adventure she was quite convinced that he really was the bravest knight in the world.

This gay and amusing fantasy will delight all children who enjoy reading about knights, wizards and dragons, and George Adamson's illustrations exactly match the text.

Hard cover, fairly good condition.  The dust jacket is scuffed and slightly torn in places.  64 pages.
