The rod is physically secured through a slit in the block. A clamping screw is used to tighten the aluminum around the shaft. Simply slide the shaft or rail through and tighten the clamping screw at the top of the block to lock it into place. Next, you fasten this to the other parts of your assemblage using two M5 bolts.
