Top edge originally gilt, others trimmed. Frontispiece is photo. of co-authors, one with folding camera, who provided the great majority of the 121 photographs; the other, a rifle. Underneath are facsimile signatures of the authors, both much celebrated early South African ornithologists. Upper corners and spines are bumped, and have marks on. This book remains a solid copy.

Old library book with Library papers on first page. Internally clean and tight. Binding good, Rubbing and marks on the cover and edges of the cover, Corners and edges bumped and frayed. Spine covered with red cloth. Library stamps on some pages

Overall condition very good for its age.
