Breda, February 2005 - Skil Europe introduces a new tool that offers you the handiest possible way to measure length, area and volume: the ultrasonic measuring tool model 0520 'Ranger'. As the name suggests, the 'Ranger' is designed specifically for quickly finding distances. With the 'Ranger' it is quick and easy to measure room sizes or estimate how much paint, wallpaper or carpet you need. The 'Ranger' is a compact, handheld tool that gives an almost instant readout of length, area and volume on a large LCD-display.

JUST POINT THE LASER TARGET… AND MEASURE!
The 'Ranger' is ready for use straight out of the box, since a 9V battery is included in the packaging. All you have to do to prepare the 'Ranger' for measuring is to level it by means of the two built?in spirit levels, point the laser target at the place to which you want to make a measurement, and press the 'Read' button. The measurement is then made using ultrasonic technology, with an immediate result on the LCD display.

LARGE LCD-DISPLAY
The 'Ranger' provides the user with the measurement results on a large, convenient LCD display. Clear pictograms show the user at?a?glance exactly what type of measurement is being made. The Ranger also gives a temperature indication in °C - a handy way to measure the ambient temperature.

EASY AREA AND VOLUME CALCULATIONS
Area and volume calculations are made by defining the length and width (and height if needed) of the object to be measured, after which the calculated result automatically appears. Results can be displayed in either meters or feet (or m2/square feet and m3/cubic feet). It is even possible to add together a series of up to 10 measurements, for example to find the perimeter length of a room before fitting new skirting boards.

ERGONOMIC SOFT GRIPS AND A HANDY BELT BAG
For easy handling, the 'Ranger' has ergonomically shaped soft grips on both sides. The 'Ranger' is also supplied with a handy belt bag with Velcro attachment, so that it is always instantly accessible when it is needed.
