This is an original, one-of-a-kind painting by South African Artist, Cherie Roe Dirksen.

Painting Description and Inspiration:

"This unusual work of art was inspired by the process of 'letting go and letting it flow'.

This is where I just help the image to emerge out of the canvas. I was listening to Bach and Debussy when I painted this which clearly influenced the movement and bold strokes you see. I felt 'swept away' with the music as I painted — translated by the motion of the torrent. Water has always been a metaphor for e(motion), which I think was translated in this piece.

The final touches of this painting were concentrated accents in the sky, it was as if I had stumbled into a dream and was expressing these bright and vibrant colours of another dimension."
