"Skyscraper" is an action thriller film that follows Will Sawyer, a former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and U.S. war veteran, who must rescue his family from a burning skyscraper in Hong Kong after terrorists set the building on fire. The film stars Dwayne Johnson as Will Sawyer, who is framed for the crime and must find those responsible, clear his name, and rescue his family who are trapped above the fire line. The plot thickens as Sawyer faces a sinister conspiracy and a team of ruthless mercenaries threatening to burn the skyscraper to the ground. The film is a collaboration between director Rawson Marshall Thurber and actor Dwayne Johnson, following their previous work in "Central Intelligence" (2016). It was released in the United States on July 13, 2018, and grossed $304 million against a budget of $125 million.
