Obviously, the reception of digital DVB-S television and radio channels are its main characteristic, as well as teletext capabilities aren't forgotten either. Also, the card it capable of high-speed Internet access and other data transfer related services. The latter is possible assuming, of course, that the user has the necessary equipment (satellite dish, feedhorn) and an ISP (Internet Service Provider) that allows the previously mentioned technologies.
In a nutshell, with this card you can watch a tremendous number of digital TV programmes and listen to radio channels directly from your computer. Its main purpose is to broadcast data streams via a satellite dish. That's a must-have but it's quite self-explanatory because this card is a satellite receiver, so the user should intuitively recognize the need for a dish and LNBF (low-noise block converter feedhorn).
