First Edition, second impression, Jonathan Cape Ltd, London, 1970

Hard Cover, Green papered Boards, gilt title, author and publishers logo to spine. Boards are bumped and scuffed, with light fading to spine, foot end of boards has shelf worn through to the point of actual boards being visible, paper is wearing through at corners. Ex-libris, ffep has been removed, rear free end paper has library stickers and stamps, webbing is showing through at both end papers., publishers page has ink stamped date "14 Dec 1973" pages are browning, some corners have fold creases, Head of book block was probably once stained black, although this is now fading in blotches. Dust Jacket is intact, is mylar wrapped, and all folding corners of dust jacket have been re-enforced with tape. Spine of Dust jacket has sticker with library reference number. Dust jacket is un-clipped, and has some short closed tears. An extremely rare hard cover first edition, second impression.
