DESCRIPTION: This is a superior SAN YOU TRINKET BOX, showcasing exceptional mid-century Chinese woodworking. The box is constructed from high-quality lacquered wood (Huanghuali style) with a remarkable GRAIN-MATCHED DESIGN: the natural floral and "landscape" patterns in the timber flow seamlessly from the base through to the lid when closed.

The lid features a glass-protected "Shadow Box" containing a hand-carved CORK DIORAMA of cranessymbols of peace and longevityresting on a branch.
