A SMALL 2.6CM HIGH VINTAGE JAPANESE HAND PAINTED SAKI CUP AND SAUCER. VERY DELICATE WITH CUP AND SAUCER HAVING A GOLD BACKGROUND. IN THE CENTER OF THE CUP SITS A HAND PAINTED ASIAN FIGURE THAT DEPICTS EBISU ONE OF THE SEVEN LUCKY GODS IN JAPANESE CULTURE. (NOTE FISH TAIL FIN PORTRUDING FROM GARMENT). BOTH CUP AND SAUCER ARE MARKED WITH THE SACER HAVING WHAT APPEARS TO BE AN IMPRESED KUTANI SEAL MARK. THE CUP HAS A GLAZE CRACK DESIGN ON THE OUTSIDE WHICH IS CHARACTERISTIC OF KUTANI WARE.
