Principle:

A 14-level binary counter CD4060 with an internal oscillation circuit is used as a control chip to control the 12 red, yellow, and green LED flashes. Adjusting R3 can change the speed of the LED flashing, and the music chip drives the buzzer to emit music. In the circuit, resistors R1, R2, R3 and electrolytic capacitor C4 form the RC oscillation peripheral circuit of CD4060. Changing R3 can change the frequency of the oscillation circuit. CD4060 internally pulses the oscillation signal, and the counting result is output from Q4-Q14 pins. Different count values correspond to different outputs. The foot of CD4060 is a reset terminal, high level reset. This circuit selects three output terminals of Q5-Q6. When the pin outputs a low level, the triode connected to it is turned on, and the LED connected to the emitter of the triode lights. When Q5-Q7 are all high, D2-D4 is turned off, forming a high level on RST, 12 pins of CD4060 are reset after high level input, and all output ends are 0 after reset, so that D2-D4 are all turned on, RST goes low and starts counting from 0 again, and so on.
