SMOKEY QUARTZ CRYSTAL 1.280kg L 104mm W 98mm H 120mm

Smokey quartz is an alluring variety of the mineral quartz, celebrated for its enchanting smoky-gray coloration. Its name is derived from its appearance, recembling the hues of smoke infused crystal. During the crystals growth natural irradiation, typically caused by exposure to rediactive elements in the surrounding environment, imparts the stone's characteristics smoky hue.

This irradiation induces the formation of colour centers within the crystal lattice, leading to the absorption and scattering of light that results in the smokey appearance. The presence of trace elements, such as aluminium or iron contributes to the coloration.

These elements become incorporated into the crystal lattice during the quartz's crystallization adding depth and variation to the stone's colour spectrum.
