When selecting a pump model, please understand that flow rate and maximum head height are inversely related. A pump will not deliver its maximum flow at its maximum head height. At the highest lift point (head height), the flow rate effectively drops to zero.
Additionally, pipe diameter plays a critical role in performance. Thicker pipes create more resistance, requiring a stronger pump to maintain adequate water lift and flow. To ensure the best results, especially in high-lift or large-volume systems, consider choosing a higher-capacity model than your minimum requirements suggest.
