Product Description
Keep your aquarium water moving and filtered with the SOBO WP-408H Slim Hanging Aquarium Filter.
The compact hang-on design sits on the rear of your aquarium, saving valuable space inside the tank while providing a 600 L/H water flow rate. The 6W motor provides continuous circulation and filtration for aquariums of approximately 150200 L, depending on stocking levels and aquarium conditions.
This listing includes a mixed selection of aquarium filtration media, giving you mechanical, biological and chemical filtration options in one setup.
The included sponge helps capture suspended debris, while biological media provides surfaces where beneficial bacteria can establish. Carbon media can provide additional chemical filtration.
The slim design, relatively low power consumption and straightforward maintenance make the WP-408H a practical choice for everyday aquarium filtration.
Mixed Filter Media
Mechanical Filtration
Filter Sponge / Filter Wool
Helps trap suspended particles, debris and other physical waste from the aquarium water.
Biological Filtration
Ceramic & Mineral-Based Bio Media
Provides porous and textured surfaces where beneficial aquarium bacteria can establish and contribute to biological filtration.
Chemical Filtration
Activated Carbon
Provides chemical filtration and can help remove certain dissolved organic compounds and unwanted odours from aquarium water.
Important: Activated carbon is not necessarily required continuously in every aquarium. It can be used when chemical filtration is desired or when removing certain substances from the water.
First-Time Setup
IMPORTANT: Never operate the filter while dry.
- Rinse the filter and media with clean water before first use to remove manufacturing dust or loose particles.
- Install the filter securely on the back of the aquarium.
- Fit the intake pipe and ensure all connections are secure.
- Install the supplied filtration media.
- Fill/prime the filter with aquarium water before switching it on.
- Check that the intake is completely submerged.
- Connect the filter to the power supply and allow it to begin circulating water.
- Check for normal water flow and ensure there are no leaks.
- Adjust the setup as required for your aquarium.
Important
Never allow the pump to run dry. Running the motor without water can cause overheating and damage.
