Soccerstarz - Bacary Sagna Figurine (Arsenal) picture

This item is sold brand new. It is ordered on demand from our supplier and is usually dispatched within 7 - 13 working days

Bacary Sagna has clocked up well over 150 appearances for Arsenal andyet it's hard to remember him making a single glaring error since hisarrival in the summer of 2007. That pretty much sums up the Frenchright-back - he is Arsenal's Mr Reliable.

Bacary took to English football like a duck to water, proving himselfto be an exemplary defender. His positional awareness, tough tacklingand aerial power have strengthened Arsenal's right side and few wingersget the better of him

The Frenchman has also impressed on the front foot. Neat and tidy inpossession, his willingness to overlap gives Arsenal the width theyneed to stretch defences and he is one of the finest crossers at theClub.

Bacary is a 'non-homegrown' player in Arsenal's official 2011/12Premier League squad. 2007/08
Bacary joined the Club in the summer of 2007 and declared: 'It is greatto be joining Arsenal and I'm excited to be playing alongside manygreat players. I'm looking forward to playing at Emirates Stadium andwinning trophies for the Club and all the supporters."

He instantly established himself as the Club's first-choice right backwith some impressive displays, making a total of 40 appearances beforehis season was cut short as a result of an ankle injury.

The Frenchman scored his first goal in an Arsenal shirt at StamfordBridge against Chelsea on March 23, which turned out to be his onlygoal of the season.

Bacary topped off an amazing debut campaign by being named in the PFAPremier League Team of the Year.

2008/09: Bacary began the new season by signing a new long-termcontract with the Club in June. He continued his form of the previousseason he as made the right-back spot his own, making 34 Premier Leaguestarts.

He was a consistent performer in the backline and became recognised asone of the best attacking full backs in the league as well as a soliddefender.

Silverware eluded Bacary again but he insisted that success was justaround the corner. "This is a great Club and I'm proud to wear theshirt," he said. "We have a great squad of players at the Club and Iknow that we can achieve something."

2009/10: Like his fellow full-back Gael Clichy, Bacary had someadjustments to make at the start of the 2009/10 campaign: Arsenal'sshift to a 4-3-3 formation meant less cover in wide positions and feweropportunities to bomb forward, but Bacary adapted with a minimum offuss.

He still got forward when possible and is certainly one of Arsenal'sfinest crossers - he had three assists in October alone and provided aperfect delivery for Nicklas Bendtner to head a last-gasp winneragainst Wolves in April. But Bacary's no-nonsense defending remains hisforte and Arsenal looked significantly more solid when he was in theTeam.
